It’s very common for people to think the designing process is “random” and designers wait for “inspiration” to hit them at certain moments. As poetic as that sounds it’s not really the truth, there are certain steps you follow, and in each of these steps you can get as creative as you want.
I’m listing those steps below, don’t memorize them – practice them, because they are time saving!

  1. First, know your website, what is it about and what does it do. When I’ve got a general idea, I do this nice trick: I visit as many websites as I can, screenshot the ones whose design I like, and keep all these screenshots in a folder. SMS Encoding

Dear readers, allow me to welcome you to my first semi-techy blog entry ever!
I’ll be -mainly- talking about the encoding used in SMS, this cool service everyone uses. (Yes, even me). Discussing the question: “Why do I have a size limit of 160 characters per one message if I type in English, for example, and 70 character per message if I type in other languages like Arabic?”

First, let’s talk about the GSM standard. The Global System for Mobile communications is the most commonly used standard for mobile phones. It provides services such as text messaging, GPRS, worldwide emergency number (112) – i.e if you ever get lost in Africa, get robbed or attacked by a wild African tiger, dial 112 to get some help. ;)
